Hello,
'The school is in need of funds to expand the library.'
1.Is it fine to use 'need' instead of ' in need of' in the sentence? e.g.
"The school needs funds to expand the library."
2.Are 'fund' and 'funds the same thing and interchangeable? Could we use 'fund' instead of 'funds here?
Thank you very much. |

"The school needs funds to expand the library." Yes.

Hello buddhaheart,
Thank you very much for your kind help.
Would 'require' be also fine instead of 'in need of' here?
Thank you very much. |

| You may say the school requires additional (more) funds to expand the library. |
