Tom is young, but he has seen much of life.

What does the above sentence mean?
(1) Tom has had a tough life.
(2) Tom has had a joyful life.
(3) Tom has had both a tough life and joyful life.
Which is the best description?

| "he has seen much of life" means he has experienced a wide variety of different things in his life. So ther best answer is #3. |
