#1, below, is an example sentence from a dictionary. When complemented by a few words, which, #2 or #3 below, is grammatically correct?
1. There has been increasing interest in her life and work, as witnessed by the publication of two new biographies.
2. There has been increasing interest in her life and work, as is witnessed by the publication of two new biographies.
3. There has been increasing interest in her life and work, as it is witnessed by the publication of two new biographies.
I think #2 is, but Im not sure. |
