Dear teachers,
Can you help me with this question?
When two words serve as the objects of the same preposition, will the preposition before the second noun be omitted ? for example:
This has a positive effect on China, even the world / on the world?
Thank you! |

| I dont believe therere any hard-and-fast rules to follow. The 2nd preposition can be omitted if it still makes sense to the reader. This has a profound effect on me and (on) him, for example. |
