----What do you think of that tea set as a gift for Mary's birthday?
---_________, but i don't particularly care for the design.
A. It's the right thing. B. I think it's a Chinese style.
C. Not so bad. D. Let me think it over once again.

Could I choose A? Why not?

Thanks.

If you read both statements carefully, you may find that the first one does not sound logical. One can't say it is the right thing and then also says there is something wrong with it.
