would a native speaker accept the use of the continuous form:


When(ever) I am in Berlin, I`m going (??) to the cinema.

or must it be:

When I am in Berlin, I go to the cinema. (habit, repeated action)

Please comment!

Second example.

The first one (especially the denotion whenever) indicates time in general or as part of a routine, ruling out the continuous tense (for here and now purposes).

Just note that you can use continuous if there is a FUTURE WORD in the utterance. For example:

I'm going to the cinema in Berlin tomorrow.

or

The movie is showing tomorrow in Berlin.
