Parties are always too sweet to last.
What does that mean?

Everything comes to an end, and anything that is very good is certain to end, probably too soon. Of course, what is bad never seems to end too soon.

When something is too good to last, it is something we want to continue on, and when it is over, we are sorry that it didn't last longer.
