The study of the Carnival Economy Productive Chain, in the context of the transformation of Rio de Janeiro Carnival into a business activity, has had the following objectives: assessing the earnings generated and the jobs created by the Carnival; identifying the way that intellectual rights are applied to this chain; evaluating the public and private sectors financial and administrative support of the Carnival; and examining the possible development of the Access Group Schools Parade as a way of improving financial earnings to these schools and to the businesses connected to them, as well as to the City of Rio de Janeiro.

The transformation of the Brazilian Carnival into a business activity

Carnival is a celebration that in other times was community-oriented and brought together participants who shared feelings of happiness. It was an opportunity to forget about the daily problems, to feel free to go out on a spree. According to Ismael Silva , these hundred people, one hour later, were more than 500. Its the group that is also named dragnet, because wherever it went through it would go on dragging, increasing, increasing, increasing. They were people that wanted to play but were alone. They left their homes to play in fact expecting a band to pass so that they could dive in, as it was said. Then, it went on increasing.

Its been some time since Carnival stopped being the Fiesta of disorder, where theres no room for bourgeois conventions and where the unruliness prevails as a rule. On the contrary, the mix of each ones happiness into the collective happiness has been dissipated due to the reduction of the collective communion into a show of narcissism. The samba school special parades survived, being showed to foreign and Brazilian tourists and also to TV spectators all over the world as spectacles of limited duration in time, adapted to the technical impositions of the TV media, which is itself subordinated to publicity interests.

The moment we are living today marks the hegemony of the carnavalescos . At the same time that middle-class members expels the local community members from the wings, Carnival stops being a party and turns into a business. It is time for the Samba School Co. Inc. The romantic era is gone. The Samba Schools warehouses now work as processing lines of a modern factory. Sophisticated software systems guarantee more resistant and light- structured allegorical floats. The computer controls the light effects that delight the public at the Sambodromo. The carnavalescos find out new materials for costumes, floats and props construction. Theres no room for amateurism and offhandedness.

Carnivals Productive Chain

The set of sequenced activities that, organized into a linear chain, culminates in the Samba Schools Special Group Parade at the Marqus de Sapuca Avenue, can be seen as a process whose development, step by step from preproduction to consumption leads to a final product which is consumed by thousands of people alive and millions of spectators in Brazil and over the world. Forcing the analogy, its is the factoring of an entertainment. From de production of the raw material that will be transformed into costumes and allegorical floats to the reception by the public of the final product the big parade , passing through the elaboration of creative projects, obtaining of financial resources, propaganda and marketing, myriads of phases are through till the delivery to consumption of the desired entertainment. It might be said that emotion and enchantment are in fact the final product consumers are looking for.

A number of things, in bold, would improve your text:

[I presume that this quote is untranslated and verbatim; it has some ill wording that I would otherwise correct]

Its been some time since Carnival stopped being the Fiesta of Disorder, where theres no room for bourgeois conventions and where unruliness prevails. The mix of each revellers happiness into the collective happiness has dissipated because of the reduction of the collective communion to a show of narcissism. The samba school special parades have survived, shown to foreign and Brazilian tourists and also to TV viewers all over the world as spectacles of short duration and adapted to the technical impositions of the TV medium, which has itself been subordinated to the interests of publicity.

Sophisticated software systems guarantee lighter and more durable allegorical floats. A computer controls the lighting effects that delight the public at the Sambodromo.
