1.Whose side are you on?
2.What apartment does he live in?
3.Where do you live? - we don't need preposition in this case and I
understand why.
4.What size are you?

I think that all of the four sentences above are grammatially correct.
but I don't understand why NO4 doesn't need any preposition?
Like a What size are you on? or What size are you in?

If we want to be more specific we could say,

"What size are you in the waist?"

Or "What size are you in pants?" Maybe better is "What is your pants size?"

But 4. does not need a preposition.
