The potato has had its knocks in the past. Of course it is not the Oxford English Dictionarys fault but we want to use another term instead of couch potato because potatoes are naturally healthy.
What does "The potato has had its knocks in the past" mean? |

It means that the potato has had trouble. Or that the potato has had a bad reputation.
There is a famous musical Annie, with a song from it called, "Hard-knock life." It means that her life has had many troubles in it.
Hope that helps! |
