Well, as Zam said, in Malaysia , many people has forgetten their culture or so called traditional. But this is not an excuse to do so. We should tell the younger about our own culture and teach them why and what is our own culture. Then, may be we can further to study what is the culture in western countries.

We must build a habit to know our own culture. Don't you agree, Zam?

it doesn't matter... the fact is everybody love their culture. the only people who does't know about their culture just a mad man. crazy one.

With all the different culture, as jest just say, it was an opportunity for us to learn and know each others.

sokkies, I do agree with you for some part of the culture you mentioned. We asian are always proud with our own asian culture and sometimes, this will make the person stop learning about others' culture. For example, western culture.

culture is applied in our daily life. it's the wayof living that people used in their daily life. it may be an education that parents teach their children since they are kids.in my opinion there are wide difference between asian and western cultures.for instant in western countries they don't bow when they walk pass through old people, but in most of asian country they do so as to show their respect to them. Laughing the culture is also differencein the way western and asian wear

My history teacher told us that the difference is that the Western people want to adopt the enviornment to their needs, and the Asians to adopt according to the enviornment. Example: If it's too hot, an Asian person will try to get used to it. A western will build air-conditioners. If it's too cold, again, the Asian will try to get used to it, a Western will build heating system so that it won't be too cold. What do you think about it? I think it's true. Also, I noticed that Asians adopt to a new culture (when they come to another country) much quicker than Westerns.
