#1(1)We know the incident.
(2)We know of the incident.
Do both sentences have a different meaning?
#2(1)His mother believes him and know he would never hurt anyone.
(2)His mother believes in him and know he would never hurt anyone.
Do both sentences have a different meaning?
Thanks for your help. |

#1(1)We know the incident. Not sensible. One can know a place or person or thing or subject, but not an incident, in my opinion.
(2)We know of the incident. Fine. Means, We know about the incident.
#2(1)His mother believes him and know he would never hurt anyone. Means she believes what he says is true and knows he would not hurt another person.
(2)His mother believes in him and know he would never hurt anyone. Means she has faith in him and knows he would not hurt another person. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
