Hello,
When we want to give our opinion about something, can we use the phrases below to express the idea? E.g.
1.In my opinion, it is foolish of you not to take the job.
2.I'm of the opinion that it is foolish of you not take the job.
3.In my mind, it is foolish of you not to take the job.
4.To my mind, it is foolish of you not to take the job.
Do all the phrases mean the same here and are they interchangeable?
Thank you very much.

.
#2 is quite formal and #3 sounds a bit odd to me. The meanings of the 4 are the same.

Hello Mister Micawber,
Do you mean 'in my mind' is not used in that way and doesn't sound natural at all?
Thank you very much for your reply.
Best regards |

Yes, to me it does not sound natural here. However, others may have other opinions. _________________ "I really do not know that anything has ever been more exciting than diagramming sentences." Gertrude Stein

Hello Mister Micawber,
Does 'in my view' also have the same meaning as 'in my opinion'?
Thank you very much |
