Dear Teachers:

I'd like to know how to use this word "warrant". Can you also give me some examples? Thanks a lot.

Best wishes,
Very Happy

Do you want to see the noun or verb? Question

You can use "I'll warrant" in place of "I think."
Examples:
You drank a lot of coffee before we left on our trip. You'll need a restroom soon I'll warrant.
She is a curious child. I'll warrant she'll make a great scientist when she grows up.
He stayed out all night drinking with his buddies without calling his wife. I warrant he's in a heap of trouble this morning.

Addendum:
Additional use of "warrant":

You can use warrant in place of deserve or earn.
Examples:
His minor crime did not warrant such a severe punishment.
You got all A's on your report card? That's great! I'd say that warrants a trip to Disneyland.
