Hi teahcers,
Thanks for your time and effort. Please help me with the 4 questions listed below. Thank you.

There are way too many *foods* to list.
I didn't know that food can be plural.

Ill go somewhere else, so we can talk *in peace.*
in a quiet environment or we can talk relaxingly?

Would you quiet down a little?
Is that a correct way to tell people to keep their voices down?

The doc asked me to come back *in a week* for a follow-up
Does that mean exact 7 days later or within 7 days?

1. There are way too many foods to list is fine. It means different types of foods.

2. Means talk where it is quiet, with no distractions. Sometimes you hear it called peace and quiet, but quiet is part of peace.

3. Yes. Or you can say:
Could you keep your voices down, please?
Can you keep it down?
Would you please speak more quietly?
Shut up, for heaven's sake!

4. It can mean either. If you can't get an appointment for exactly seven days later, you would get one for six or eight, about a week later.

For more than one person, I would say voices. For one person, I would say voice. Sorry if I made it confusing.
