hello~
i've seen the sentence "good night" in one book.
a boy in the book broke a egg and said "good night".
it seems not the original meaning.
could you please tell me that this sentence can be a emphatic sentence? |

Without knowing the source of your example...my guess would be -
'good night' = 'oh, my goodness'; 'egads' ('good god'); etc.
it's a mild oath (antiquated) and is a substitute for the use 'god'
