2. It's one thousand and five hundred dollars.
#1 is correct. Is #2 also acceptable?

#2 is correct at least in the vernacular (daily speech).
People may also replace "one" with "a". |

Also, in this oart of the world, you'll often hear, 'One thousand fivehundred bucks (dollars).' |
