Hello!
Can you give more detail about how you want to use "Brasilian retail"? That will detemine if "the" needs to be included.
If it's a general statement, such as "Brasilian retail sales are down..." then you don't need to add an article.
If it's more specific, then you would add an article: "The downtown Brasilian retail stores reported that sales are down..."
Does that make sense?
