Hello,
Which one is grammatically correct? Or both are okay?
1. The female dnaner in ballet does much of her dancing en pointe, that is on the tips of her toes.
2. The female dnaner in ballet does much of her dancing en pointe. That is on the tips of her toes.

It sounds better to me to say, "The female dancer in ballet does much of her dancing en pointe; that is, on the tips of her toes." Waiting to see what everyone else says  |
