Hello,
Are these sentences all grammatically correct and natural?
1. Tell him whether to fix the bicycle.
2. Tell him when to fix the bicycle.
3. Tell him where to fix the bicycle.
4. Tell him how to fix the bicycle.
5. Tell him the way to fix the bicycle.

They are all grammatically correct.
1. Tell him whether to fix the bicycle. OK, but maybe the rarest of the five sentences.
2. Tell him when to fix the bicycle. Fine.
3. Tell him where to fix the bicycle. Fine.
4. Tell him how to fix the bicycle. Fine.
5. Tell him the way to fix the bicycle. Means the same as how to fix the bicycle; less likely to be said by a native. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
