This book was destined to be a classic long before it came out.
Could you paraphrase the sentence above? Thanks.
What is the part of speech of "long" here? Is it a noun or an adjective?
Thank you

For a long time before this book came out, its fate was to become a classic.
I think long might be an adverb there--for a long time. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
