Hello,
Could you tell me which one is the best choice or which one(s) are correct?
1. Write down the meaning of the words.
2. Write down the meanings of the words.
3. Write down the meaning of each word.
I guess # 2 and 3 are correct but not sure enough.

1 and 3 are correct if you want one meaning for each word. 2 is correct if you want more than one definition for each word.
If you are writing instructions on a test, use #3. |
