Teenagers usually uses mobile phones. What do you think about teenagers who use mobile phones? In my opinion, teenagers should not use mobile phones for many reasons. First, its waste of money. The cost of mobile phones is very expensive; its about 3,000 t0 25,000 bath or more. They have to pay for the service every month. Second, mobile phones may be dangerous for your health. The technology of mobile phones uses high frequency that brings about tumors in users brain. For example, I used to read the article about disadvantages of using mobile phone. It states that having used mobile phones since you were young may adversely affect your brain especially 12-16 years old. Finally, teenagers often use it improperly. Sometimes, they talk on the phone for a long time without any purpose of calling. It makes them waste money and lose a lot of time. Some teenagers use mobile phones because they want to show off. For example, when they see their friends using mobile phones, they just want to do the same. They would keep asking their parents for mobile phones. In conclusion, using mobile phones is not necessary for teenagers because they have duty to study, which doesnt need mobile phones.
Do you agree with the trendy use of mobile phones by teenagers?

I think, your portrayal was just one side of the coin. The other side is, that cell phones are sometimes really useful. I haven't got one and there are moments I curse that decision. The most famous situation without cell phone is probably, when you have to call the doctor in case of emergency. This situation might be very seldom, but if it happens, you damn the whole world, that nobody's got a mobile phone.
So I guess, for many teenager it is waste of time/dangerous for health etc... but I suppose that also depends on how often you use it. And in some cases it is just cool to have one.

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Cool
I agree that mobile phones for teenangers can be a danger for their health and surely are a waste of money. In an emergency situation is truth that is where it proves its utility. But, as you know, for teenagers are very important to be accepting in their group as well as all young people have their own mobile. That means, It is useles to ban teenangers to have their own mobile. We only should teach them to make a responsible use of them.

And the most important Never pay their phone expenses???? Wink

Mobiles, sometimes they could be annoying, sometimes they could save your life.

I never experienced any rescue that the mobile was involved but I did hear some magnanimous victories on some accidents where survivors were rescued and saved via the conductions of mobile phones. Yes, sometimes, that ringing tune is a big headache and you can't even wish that thsi kind of product had never brought to our world. Haha....

I think nowadays everybody more or less carries one or more than one cellphones. And with the updating progress of this telecom technology, a growing variety of its functionality is overwheming all the users. Yes, again, it is jsut like something part of your natural body.

I don't think it's necessary for teenagers to use mobile phones as much as they do. It cuts down on the amount of real, face-to-face interaction. I don't have one, because I don't talk to enough people to justify paying $40 a month for phone service. However, I'm sure I'll jump on the cell phone bandwagon one of these days.

Plus, it's really annoying when one of my students' mobile phones rings while I'm trying to teach.

Mobile phones are a nuisance! I agree that they can help you in an emergency case and are quite useful for business managers etc. , but to me mobile phones seem like a gadget just used to show off. Sometimes I wonder what these cell phone addicts would do without it. I can't stand it when my classmates play little games on their phones or write sms during school lessons.

I think
Nowadays, mobile phone is very popular in Thailand. Lots of people use mobile phone for their communication but some of them (especially the teenagers) use mobile phone because of fashion. In my opinion, I think teenagers should not use mobile phones for 3 reasons.
First, the price of mobile phone is about 10,000-20,000 baht. It is too expensive for teenagers and they cant find money by themselves, so the parents spend a lot of money for mobile phone. Some teenagers sell themselves to buy mobile phone. They have to pay the service of mobile phone which too expensive. Second, mobile phone can make teenagers crazy about it. They spend a lot of time for mobile phone because there are many options in mobile phone such as ring tone and software, which attracts teenagers. They want to show off.
Third, using mobile phone is bad for teenagers health. From a research, phone wave decreases brain development.
In conclusion, mobile phone is not suitable for teenagers because teenagers spend a lot of money to buy it. They think it is fashion. I think they should have spent their money carefully. What is your idea about mobile phones?
