Hi
Whether the following expression for a definition of " resurrect " is correct?
resurrect (verb) [vn] 1. to bring back into use sth, such as a belief, a practice, etc, that had disappeared or been forgotten ...
The above is excerpted from Oxford ADVANCED LEARNER'S Dictionary. In my opinion, I think, if there's no preposition, ' of ' between use and sth, omitted in the text, the bold part above, into use sth, should be "into use of sth", or " into using sth "?
Could you help me with that? Many thanks!

It meant to say, "to bring back sth into use", but 'sth' is followed by a long prepositional phrase, such as a belief, a practice, etc, that had disappeared or been forgotten ..., so the word order was slightly changed. |
