I've heard that 'however' comes between commas in case it is used in the middle of the sentence. Then, what about this sentence that I've found in a book? Is it right or wrong in punctuation?
"Initially hesitant, the general consented to his proposal, refusing however to allow the white flag that would ensure his safety." |
