I am trying to put a short passage in Japanese into English and the following is what I have made.
If you were to tell, ( ), an elementary school child that refrigerators used to be made of wood and did not use electricity, they would probably not believe you. They would say without electricity refrigerators couldnt have worked.
For the blank, above, I wrote #1(say). Im wondering if #2(for example) is also OK there.
1. say
2. for example
What do you think? |
