"I have been doing this for more years than you have existed alive."
"I decided to rest the day off"
In the above sentences, are 'have existed alive" and "to rest the day off" grammatically OK? |

You can use either, "I have been doing this for more years than you have been alive." or "I have been doing this for more years than you have existed." (We don't use "existed alive" because "existed" means being alive.)

You can say, "I decided to rest on my day off." or "I decided to rest the whole day." or "I decided to take the day off." I am not sure what you mean. |
