He threw the pillow at Jane.

When you read the sentence above, is there any possibility that the pillow hit Jane?

In my opinion, "He threw the pillow at Jane" mean "He threw the pillow at Jane, but it didn't hit Jane."

It means he threw the pillow, intending to hit Jane.
It does not specify whether he hit her or not.
