(1) Do you have some money?
(2) Do you have any money?

Which is better, (1) or (2)? Or do you have any particular situations where you could use (1) or (2)?

Hello!

#2 is correct.


We use any when we are making a negative statement. We also use any to ask a question.
Example of negative statement: I don't have any money. (Not: I don't have some money)
Example of a question: Do you have any money? (Not: Do you have some money?)
