HI! It's my first time postiong here
I'm studying english from watching TV shows
I watched the show "Americas next top model cycle12 e3"
i don't get some conversation...

1. I'm not buying it
= it means i can't believe you??

2. she looks like it's in a wind tunnel
= it's about her hair but i don't get it. hair looks like it's in a wind tunnel? what is that mean..

3. Keep it cute... or put it on mute
= be quiet or i'll shut you up?

4. A: Do you think you come off *beep*
B: I stand up for myself. You may think that it's me being a *beep*

5. Her hair was long and about as dry as Ghandi's sandals!
= Ghandi's sandals........... is that mean just hair is so dry?

6. Questionable, Miss J., questionable behavior!
= what is your problem?

7. We're not making decisions for shock-value
= shock-value..??

Correct. It's a colloquial way to say, "I'm skeptical; I don't know if I can believe that."

= it's about her hair but i don't get it. hair looks like it's in a wind tunnel? what is that mean..
A wind tunnel is a place where vehicles can be tested for aerodynamics. The strong wind inside would mess up anyone's hair. So this comment is just to emphasize that the person's hair is a mess.

3. Keep it cute... or put it on mute
= be quiet or i'll shut you up?
It means, "If you can't say something clever / interesting, just keep quiet." No doubt one of the judges said this, trying to be funny.

B: I stand up for myself. You may think that it's me being a *beep*
The naughty-word robot substituted beep for your word. You could avoid that by putting spaces or hyphens in the naughty word. I will guess that the word beeped out is bit-ch or bit-chy. That means irritable, mean, bossy, hard to get along with.

5. Her hair was long and about as dry as Ghandi's sandals!
= Ghandi's sandals........... Question is that mean just hair is so dry?
Yes. Another funny phrase made up by the judge.

= what is your problem?
Questionable behavior means something improper or wrong. What did Miss J. do to deserve this comment?

= shock-value..??
Something very surprising or upsetting is shocking. Shock value means the ability to cause shock. Sometimes people do or say something just for its shock value. In fact, people on reality shows often do or say things for shock value.
