Dear teachers:
I study the novel "Eclipse". There is a sentence �Your cooking skills have me soft as a marshmallow.� in this novel. I don�t know why the writer uses the word �marshmallow�? Would you please tell me that? Thanks a lot!!

A marshmallow is a soft sweet type of candy. So the person is just saying that her cooking skills have melted him into something very soft. I'd say he likes the cook.
