Hello! My name is Miki Kanai. I am a Japanese student.
I am interested in world cultures. I want to travel all over the world! I want to go the beautiful sea and also visit countries which have world heritages. Especially, I want to go the San Francisco Beach. I also want to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa. And I am very interested in countries with unique customs.
Please tell me your country☆

I am pleased to meet you Miki Kanai,

My country is called Scotland, and we have a long long history which has brought much happiness & sadness in the past. We have many World Heritage Sites, the most famous is a near perfect stone age village called Skara Brae (Orkney): http://www.orkneyjar.com/history/skarabrae/. We do have beaches around the coastline, but maybe you would find it too cold to sunbathe & swim, as the temperature rarely rises above 20C & the water temperature stays close to 0C all year round. Like Japan we have many beautiful mountains (http://www.cairngorms.co.uk/) which are very popular, especially in winter for skiing. Our most famous city is Edinburgh, were millions of people visit each summer to see the Edinburgh festival & military tattoo: http://www.eif.co.uk/. Many Japanese visit this city in the summer. Of course the most famous visitor centre is very exciting to many Asian tourists. It is called Loch Ness (http://www.visitlochness.net/), and it is said that a sea monster lives in the water - there have been many sightings of this monster, and there are pictures of her (her name is Nessie: http://www.nessie.co.uk/) in a museum near the loch. Maybe one day you will visit my country, as I have done yours, and maybe see the Edinburgh festival & Nessie.

Good luck

Scottish Tiger
