hi everybody....
I'm a Brazilian student, I love English and I would like to improve my pronunciation, because I could realize that sometimes I make some mistakes influenced by my mother tongue. What can I do to minimize it?
please, answer me. |

You can listen to the BBC world news for English pronunciation, or www.cnn.com for US pronunciation. Also there are many video clips at www.bbc.co.uk and on www.youtube.com.
These are free.
If you want to spend some money there are some good computer applications from Berlitz, or Rosetta Stone (to name a couple). |

Maybe this site will help - it shows you how to make the different sounds we use in English:
http://www.soundsofenglish.org/pronunciation/sounds.htm
If you can give us some examples of mistakes you make, or sounds you have difficulty with, maybe we can help! |

Hi,
You can also try to get a basic book on phonetics or use the dictionary. The Oxford Dictionary provides the correct pronounciations of words. _________________ Centennial College Rocks! |
