Hello,
What function does 'as' perform in this passage?
-------
It is difficult for non-english speakers to learn English as a foreign language. Students can bever be sure from reading a word how it is pronounced. They have to hear it aloud at the same time as seeing it written down.
--------
The 'as' is the following sentence has the same meaning as the one in the upper passage?
The destruction of trust started at the same time as the formation of trust.
Thanks

The as is part of the structure the same... as, which is used to make a comparison.
I have the same car as you.
They were born on the same day as each other.
And yeah, your other sentence uses it in the same way. |
