Hello teachers,

I'm confused about "wonder" and "wander" these two words. Confused

Every time when I met these two words, I would consult the dictionary.

However, I need the methods of recognizing them.

Besides, are there any relationships between "wonder" and "wonderful"?

Thanks for your answering!

To wander means to walk around aimlessly. You can remember that the word with A, wander, means walking Aimlessly.

To wonder means to be awed by something, or to be puzzled and think about something. When something is awesome, you say Oh, and Wow. You can remember that the word with O, wonder, means you are saying Oh.

When Alice was in Wonderland, she was in a place where everything was strange, curious, wonderful. Something that is wonderful is something that makes you wonder, something that is awesome--again, something that makes you say Oh, wow.

Hope this helps you remember next time.
