Dear teachers!!
(1) I can't lose weight.
(2) I can't lose my weight.
(3) I can't lose some weight.
How do you separate these three when you use?
My idea is:
(2)
The word weight means the amount or quantity of heaviness or mass, so if I lose my weight, my weight will be zero, or 0. It is impossible.
Thank you in advance. |

(1) I can't lose weight. Right. Means I'm trying but failing to lose weight.
(2) I can't lose my weight. Wrong. Never said.
(3) I can't lose some weight. Wrong. Okay to say, I can't lose any weight, but not some weight. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
