|
|
Hi, there.
Look at the following sentences:
#1. Nobody contributed to the understanding of dreams as much as Freud.
#2. Nobody contributed to the understanding of as many dreams as Freud.
In the English class today, I learned the sentence #1 is correct and the sentence #2 is not.
But I cannot understand why the sentence #2 is not correct.
Can anybody explain to me why the sentence #2 is grammatically wrong?
Thanks. |

It's not grammatically wrong.
It means Freud contributed to the understanding of more dreams than anybody else.
It may be factually wrong. |
