Dear teachers,
I found a sentence in the textbook like this"The coffee is excellent quality and has sold well."Could you please tell me if the underlined part is right? Why there is no "of" before excellent?

There should be an of in there, but it is quite often omitted, as in your example.
You would not be faulted for including of, but you might be penalised in an English exam. if the person who marked your paper were a stickler for grammar. |
