My question is as follows:
All of us have such a bank called TIME. It adds 864,00 seconds to our account every morning. Every nigh, it deletes, as lost, ________ part of the balance that you fail to use during the day.
(A) any (B) whatever (C) a (D) no matter
Which one is the correct answer?
Please help me out. Thanks. |

| Any. It's used here to refer to some of a thing (part) no matter how much. |

Here is another sentence.
Every evening it deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.
My question is:
In this case, can I replace "whatever" with "any"? Is there any difference?
Thanks again. |
