What does the colored �it� refer to, #1 or #2 below?
1. How many colors did you use?
2. we have not always enjoyed the ability to choose color as we do now.

Remember the pictures you used to draw as a child? How many colors did you use? It may be somewhat difficult to imagine, but we have not always enjoyed the ability to choose color as we do now. In fact, humanity's easy access to "color" has become possible only due to developments of the last few centuries.

I think #2, but I�m not sure. What do you think?
