Hello,
I have written the following in the email:
I am planning a trip to Republica Dominicana right now. Want to go there in April. I have no clue how I am going to handle this with the work, but I know I want change the snow for the hot beach again.
Could you verify the sentence for mistakes?
What really bothers me are the articles before "snow" and "hot beach".
Should I have put them or not.. and which articles, defitine or indefinite.
Alexander. |

It's pretty good the way it is. Republica Dominicana is usually referred to as "The Dominican Republic", by English speakers.
I am planning a trip to The Dominican Republic right now. I want to go there in April. I have no clue how I am going to fit this in with work, but I know I want change the snow for a hot beach again.
Is how I'd say it.
As you can see the changes are very small and not really necessary.
You do need the articles. I know that in Slavic languages you don't use articles and so it is a little strange for you.
All they really do is give a little more precision in meaning. |
