Hello, teachers!!
Don't put too much emphasis on times and schedules. People, depending on their culture, may ( ) being on time differently.
(1)admire(2)regard
----->
I know that the answer is (2), but can't you possibly put (1) for the sentence above?
Can you say "I admire being on time differently"?
Thank you in advance. |

You can have degrees of admiration, so in that respect, you can admire something differently - for example, in Spain, it is said they are not too punctual and probably don't care if you are on time. So punctuality may not be admired very much, if at all.
In Germany, I would say they try to be on time and appreciate it if you are on time, so they admire punctuality more than they do in Spain. In that sense they admire punctuality differently. |
