Hello,
I'm confused about "be held".
A ceremony can be held. For example, graduation, award...
How about "school trip"? Is this stentence correct or not?
School trip will be held from May 3 to 6.
Thank you for your help. |

One of the meanings of the verb to hold is:- to arrange and take part in something. This usually is applied to meetings or conversations, but you can apply it to a school trip.
e.g. A school trip ( to destination X) will be held from 3rd May to 6th May 2010. The cost per student will be $50. Tickets are available from the office. |
