In conversation, when people ask, "Is that you?" I answer "Yes, it's me."
But, when people ask me "Is that your father?" I'm not sure which pronoun "it" or "he" I should use in my reply.
Do native English speakers say "Yes, it is" or "Yes, he is" in reply to the question, "Is that your father?" Are both replies correct?

I would answer, "Yes, it is."
