Hello,
I have heard on TV:
"It is a standard-issue bra clasp. "
Could you explain what does "Standard-issue" means in english.
What does this "issue" add to the meaning?
In my language I would say an equivalent of "it is a standard bra clasp".
Thanks,
Alex. |

| Standard issue is a term derived from the military denoting equipment that is issued to every soldier, so a standard issue bra clasp is intended to mean that it was just a normal fastening on a bra. |
