Please help me with the following questions.
1. So the expression sour grapes is used when someone unable to get what he wants and dismisses it as worthless.
There seems to be something missing in the sentence. Can l say this way, "So the expression sour grapes is used when someone is unable to get what he wants and dismisses it as worthless."?
2. My husband should not only be an everything-can-do man but also a big support for me in the future.
Is there such a word as "everything-can-do"? Can I have a better alternative in this sentence?
Thanks a lot. |

You can also say there is something extra in the sentence,So the expression sour grapes is used when someone unable to get what he wants and dismisses it as worthless.
If you remove the word, and, so that the sentence reads ...,So the expression sour grapes is used when someone, unable to get what he wants, dismisses it as worthless.
Your suggestion is also correct.
The original sentence is not correct.

| Regarding 2). above: the sentence should read: My husband should not only be a Can-do-everything man.... etc. |
