Can you tell me the differences between "until" & "unless"? Which is the best answer of the following exercise? Thank you!
I had no idea where he had been ____ you told me.
A. until B. unless
The answer given is "B" , is it right?

I think until is the better answer.
If you want to use unless, you ought to write it: "I would have had no idea where he had been unless you had told me.
unless -except when; if not.
until - up to (the point in time when the event happened). |
