This following is my another question:

If you sell your rice now you will be playing your hand very badly. Wait until the price goes up.

In the above sentence, what does "playing your hand too badly" mean?

It means:- It will be a bad idea, a poor move.

If you are playing a card game, like poker for example, the decisions of how you decide to play are called "playing your hand." So if you play your hand badly, you can lose because you made mistakes.
