Dear teachers:
I know that "bail out someone" means to give money to a court when someone is allowed to stay out of prison while they wait for their trial.
But how about "bail out on someone"? Do they have the same meaning?

| If you bail out (or simply, bail) on someone you:- leave them behind, don't show up for an appointment, or let them down. |
