Dear teachers:
There is a phrase "pull an Elvis" in the American film "Monk", which means someone fakes his or her own death.
Would you please tell me why we use "pull" here? Thanks a lot.

If you pull an Elvis, it means emulate Elvis Presley.
I don't recall that Elvis faked his own death, but rather that he died with his head in the toilet. |
